From a Prisoner in Nebraska

From a prisoner in NE… Thank you so much for my lessons. The lesson on Prayer was a challenge for me. Sorry that it took me a little longer to do. I am going to hang on to the book on prayer. It has so many keys to how to pray. Also, thank you for the little note that you sent me. I hope and pray that you all are doing ok. The virus is making a lot of people sick. The hospitals are filling up again with people that are very sick. Merry Christmas, Bob & Maureen. I hope and pray you all have a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year. May God bless you all and your family and keep you all safe. It is a blessing to be your student. God bless.

Church Website Ministry:

  • We met Pastor Brian McWhorter at the Great Commission Camp Meeting at New Beginning Baptist Church in Edgewood Texas back in September 2022. In early October, we went and visited Wildwood Baptist Church in Mabank Texas, where Brother Brian is Pastor. We went out to lunch, and discussed putting their old website (wildwoodbaptistmabank.com) back online. Their domain had expired. I was able to re-register their domain, and using content provided, was able to build a website for Pastor McWhorter using WordPress.
  • Pastor Paul Pullen and Bob Hoffman

I have had a relationship with Pastor Paul Pullen of Live Oak Baptist Church in Cove Arkansas for many years now. Pastor Pullen has been the Pastor at Live Oak Baptist Church since April. Brother Paul called me up and asked if I would like to preach and present the ministry at Live Oak Baptist Church. I accepted the offer. Maureen and I traveled up to Cove Arkansas, and spent the night in their prophet’s chamber. Sunday morning, November 13, 2022, I preached the morning service, followed by a fellowship meal, and then presented our ministry. While we were up there, Pastor Paul and I talked about putting a website back up for Live Oak Baptist Church. Brother Pullen decided on a domain name (liveoakofcove.com) and I set up a website for the church using WordPress. Pastor Pullen will be updating the website going forward.

  • I was contacted by Pastor Meshack Wafula about setting up a website for Galilee Independent Baptist Church in Kitale, Kenya. Brother Meshack, and I had to correspond via email, since Long Distance phone service was cost prohibitive. Pastor Meshack planted the local rural church in 2009. He is pastor/evangelist and a teacher in their local servant leadership school. Brother Wafula decided on the domain galileeibc.com. I registered the domain. Pastor Wafula provided content for the website, and I built a WordPress website for Galilee Independent Baptist Church using his content. I will update the website as more content becomes available.

Cybermissions WorkdayBible Correspondence Courses: We want to thank Joyce Hall, Oleta Ferrell, Lorraine Meier, JL & Florence Smith for helping with the Bible Correspondence courses over the last quarter.
Here are some comments we received from people that are taking the correspondence courses:

  • A prisoner in AR writes: Dear Mama Maureen and Papa Bob, Greeting, salutations and lots of love and joy from me to you thanks to the great blessings and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ and all that he allows to happen. I wanted to answer your questions (I asked if he was able to receive the Bible crossword puzzles etc. that I include with his lessons). Before I do I need to reiterate what an AWESOME, COOL, WONDERFUL BLESSING you are and have been in my life. I truly, truly, truly think I may have done some bad things or maybe even given up completely if not for you coming into my life when you did. GOD WAS DEFINETLY AT WORK. You made me feel worthy and lovable during a time when I was feeling abandoned and unworthy. I will never say enough how much LOVE and GRATITUDE I have in my heart for you. You are my family and mentors and blessing from God, all the good things and positive people in my life have come thru or somehow because of you. WOW. I love you. Thank you again. Send my love to all. Until next time just know I’m doing good. In Jesus name…
  • A student in TN writes: Ma’am: Thank you!  I received the package yesterday late mail. I truly love these studies.  These will keep me DEEP in God’s word for a while.

Volume 34 Issue 5 September/October/2022)

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The Latest News:

  • Maureen and I had a great time participating in the “Great Commission” Missions campmeeting at New Beginning Baptist Church on September 11-14 2022 in Edgewood Texas. We have been hosting their website (nbbcedgewood.com) since 2009! Pastor Bryan Easley invited us to set up our display and participate in this year’s conference. There was great preaching there, and we met two missionaries that said they were going to call us and get a website set up. I also had time to sit down with Mrs. Staci Easley and show her how to navigate and update their website (the member that was doing this for them left several years ago).

Church Website Ministry:

  • At this year’s East Texas Baptist Campmeeting, I met Pastor Eddie Hibdon. He came up and introduced himself, and said he had just taken Shady Grove Baptist Church in Emory Texas and would like to have a website set up. He called me after the campmeeting, and we talked. He provided me with some content, and we registered a domain (Shady Grove Baptist Church in Emory Texas). I built Pastor Hibdon a WordPress website. He asked if I could update it for him, and I agreed. Pastor Hibdon invited us to present the ministry on Sunday August 14, 2022 at Shady Grove Baptist Church in the evening service. We accepted and were blessed by the Pastor and the church!
  • Are you a democrat? Do you know any democrats? We put up a web page for one of our friends, Jim Cahill at https://ruadem.com. Many people have voted democrat all their lives. Take this test to see where you stand on the issues. The results may surprise you! Share with your democrat friends.

Post Surgery Day 1241

I went back to the urologist yesterday and go my PSA numbers.

The PSA is still creeping up slowly. It was .12.

I asked how high it had to go before he decided it was cancer again.

The doctor said 0.2 and they assume the cancer has returned.

I asked what happens at that point.

There is no further screening if the PSA passes .2, they will suggest radiation at that time, no testing, no way to verify cancer.

He said he is still not worried at this time, he hopes the PSA will find a number and stabilize, possibly even drop a little again. His feeling is that there was no indication that cancer has spread from the prostate they examined after removal, coupled with the fact that the PSA stayed at 0 for 2 1/2 years.

So, we are in a wait and see mode.
